This standard provides requirements recommendations to achieve electromagnetic compatibility of electrical and electronic installations onboard ships. Installations designed according to this standard and equipment manufactured and installed in accordance with the requirements and recommendations of this standard are likely to function without degradions in the normal electromagnetic environment of ships, and without having unduly influence by electromagnetic emission on their environment.
