Summary
The method specified in this International Standard is a kinetic modification of the luminescent bacteria test as specified in ISO 11348 (series of standards). This kinetic method avoids problems arising from intense colouring and turbidity of samples. Turbid samples need not to sediment or be centrifugated, nor is colour correction necessary, as described in ISO 11348.
