Summary
This International Standard applies to the qualification test for welders and welding operators for fusion welding of metallic materials for aerospace applications. A welder or operator qualification test properly passed in accordance with terms of this International Standard ensures that the welder or welding operator concerned has proved to possess the minimum degree of skill and knowledge required for the welding of aerospace hardware. This International Standard defines requirements for the welding performance qualification for fusion welding in aerospace applications.
