Summary
This supplement is applicable for rolling bearings in closed industrial gear units with oil lubrication. It doesn't contain any normative provisions though it shows informative with the help of examples, how the calculation of the modified rating life of a bearing according DIN ISO 281 the degree of contamination of the lubricant respectively the calculation of the modified reference rating life according ISO/TS 16281 the cleanliness classes of the oil in dependency on arrangements to keeping the industrial gear clean can be estimated.
