DIN ISO 3730:2013-04

This standard specifies the minimum requirements for the design and equipment with protection and safety devices, which are necessary for operation as well as for the protection of operators and the winch itself. Mooring winches shall be permanently mounted with the corrosion resistance on their visible position and shall meet the general requirement for deck equipment in ISO 7825. The winch manufacturer shall be responsible for determining the strength requirements of the component parts of the winch to with stand all loads-category of the respective nominal sizes of mooring winches, as specified after value table.
