This International Standard lays down the graphical symbols and the corresponding referents in the English, French, Russian, German, Spanish and Italian languages in the field of textile machinery. The graphical symbols dealt with in this International Standard are destined to be - placed on equipment or parts of equipment of any kind of textile machinery in order to instruct the persons handling the equipment or parts of equipment as to their setting in operation and function- ing; - used for the representation of a state, function or operation wherever this may be, and in documents such as drawings, maps and diagrams.
