DIN ISO 5597:2015-02

Sealing devices are used in fluid power systems to contain the pressurized fluid with components having elements with linear motion, i.e. for hydraulic cylinders by sealing both cylinder piston and cylinder piston rod. ISO 5597:2010 defines dimensions and tolerances of rod and piston seal housings for reciprocating applications. An additional range of seal housings is defined to meet the reduced envelope requirements of the 160 bar compact series of ISO 6020-2; these smaller section seals require stricter piston rod and cylinder bore tolerances. This standard contains the German edition of ISO 5597:2010 which was developed by the Technical Committee ISO/TC 131 Fluid power systems.
