DIN SPEC 16591:2016-12

This DIN SPEC describes procedures for PIN generation, PIN verification and PIN change processed by the customer. The aim of this document is to define standardized requirements for the implementation of these processes throughout the credit services sector. Therefore a generic description of the procedure has been chosen to allow on the one hand enough flexibility for the implementation and otherwise defines a general framework which is necessary for a secure operation.
