Summary

In DIN SPEC the hazardous areas in storage tanks as well as in and around pipes, fittings, installation parts, in and around pumps, in and around chambers, shafts/ducts and other rooms below ground level and around outdoor above-ground storage tanks are defined. Furthermore the hazardous areas during draining of vapour/air mixtures are defined. Besides the determinations of the hazardous areas also corresponding protective measures are descripted. For the hazardous areas appropriate examples are given.
