DIN SPEC 58929:2012-08

This Technical Specification specifies requirements for validation and routine control of sterilization processes applying for small steam sterilizers which are used in health care facilities and are intended to sterilize medical devices. This document is to be applied together with the DIN EN ISO 17665-1. NOTE Even with the application of methods of type N (ie, unwrapped, solid instruments) accordance with DIN EN 13060, parts of this draft standard can be utilised analogously. Requirements, the sterilization process upstream and downstream processing steps, and given conditions (eg, cleaning, disinfection, packaging) are not covered by this draft standard.
