DIN SPEC 91252:2011-01

This International Specification defines standardized dimensions for lithum-ion cells as requirments for the design of battery packs and systems to be used in electrically propelled road vehicles. It is related to cylindrical, prismatic and pouch lithium-ion cells. The cells are distinguished according to their application, such as high energy and high performance. This International Specification determines the outer dimensions and the location of the connection terminals in relation to specific application classes such as HEV, PHEV, BEV. The inner construction, the cell chemistry, the electrical characteristics and any further properties of the cells are not defined in this specification.
