DIN SPEC 91289:2013-05

The DIN SPEC (PAS) intends to define requirements for the benchmarking of outsourcing services and outsourcing providers. The specification provides a basis to compare outsourcing services and outsourcing providers as part of a benchmarking exercise in an objective and transparent manner. Outputs of the project are policies, procedures and criteria for benchmarking of outsourcing services and outsourcing providers. The aim of this DIN SPEC project is to reduce market intransparencies through standardization, bring together supply and demand in the outsourcing market more efficiently, lower monitoring and control costs of the involved parties. The DIN SPEC covers IT Outsourcing (ITO) as well as Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).
