Summary
This document sets out the main criteria for the guidance of the designer with regard to possible application of the wire thread inserts defined in standards EN 2942, EN 2944 and EN 3542. It has been prepared in line with recommendations by the AECMA/C 8 committee in respect of engine-related studies. It may however be applied to studies in other fields.
