IEEE Guide for Automatic Reclosing of Line Circuit Breakers for AC Distribution and Transmission Lines
Summary
New IEEE Standard - Superseded.
Guidelines for the application of automatic reclosing facilities to circuit breakers are established. Decisions concerning the use of such facilities in specific cases are left to the user.
Describe current reclosing practices for transmission and distribution lines. Also discussed will be application considerations and coordination practices of reclosing.
There presently does not exist a document defining the available practices for reclosing automatically on the power system. A document defining current practice and the reasons for it is a necessary reference or less experienced engineers.
