This standard gives guidance on writing the technical specification for the procurement of any lifting equipment used in the electricity generating stations (power stations). This Guide for procurement is not applicable to equipment used in the nuclear reactor plant area of the nuclear power station. Other possibleapplications of such equipment have been considered in the preparation of this Guide. This Guide covers: - Travelling cranes; - Portal or semi-portal bridge cranes; - Fixed or articulated jigs; - Hoist monorails; - Mobile cranes.
