Summary
This specification has been declared ""CANCELLED"" by the Aerospace Materials Division, SAE, as of March, 2008, and has been superseded by ASTM B 777. The requirements of the latest issue of ASTM B 777 shall be fulfilled whenever reference is made to the cancelled AMS-T-21014. By this action, this document will remain listed in the Numerical Section of the Index of Aerospace Material Specifications, noting that it has been superseded by ASTM B 777. SAE AMS 7725 covers the same materials but with additional requirements for structural applications. This specification covers the requirements for four classes of machinable, high density tungsten base metal produced by consolidation of metal powder mixtures whose composition is mainly tungsten. this material may be used for uncoated parts or parts that may be coated with other materials for protection against corrosion and abrasion such as, electrodeposited and vacuum deposited cadmium and electrodeposited chromium.
