Rating Procedure for the Ford Tornado Bore Polishing Test

Summary

The method is used to measure the percentage area of bore polishing on cylinder liners by assessing a number of discrete zones defined by a rating graticule. The rating graticule is placed uniformly on the rateable area and the number of zones at which polish exists are counted. This value is then converted to percentage area.
