This generic specification applies in combination with the detail specification for electrical connectors (COC) and plug-and-socket devices (CBC), in the following named components. This generic specification includes the general requirements and provisions. It contains information relating to unchanging technical requirements and test conditions, i. e. properties and provisions that apply to the respective components as well as general procedures, matters of liability, patent law, etc. The detail specification specifies the specific technical requirements and tests applicable for the respective components. If data of the detail specification differ from those given in the generic specification, data of the detail specification shall apply.
