Analysis of coffee and coffee products - Determination of 16-O-methyl cafestol content of roasted coffee - HPLC-method

Summary

The document specifies a method for the determination of 16-O-methyl cafestole of roasted coffee. The method is proved for a percentage by mass of 50 mg to 300 mg 16-O-methyl cafestol per kg roasted coffee. Since its first edition 1999, it appeared that the table in Annex A outlining the validation data can lead to misunderstandings. Therefore, the re-wording of this table was assessed to be necessary.
