In the design and practice of digital cinema-projection is the clear definition of image formats except for the DCI formats defined by 1:1.85 and 1:2.39 nonexistent. For verifying the geometrical projection-quality of image there is also no basis to check a format compliant image-projection. This standard transferred the image formats known in analog cinema in digital image reproduction. This Documet defines the projection formats for digital projection. It specifies the pixel space of each image format as well as the necessary test patterns.This document also includes specifications for the tolerances of each image format.
