Summary

This standard deals with sports halls and rooms for physical education in schools, competitive sport, club sport, popular sports, recreational sport, sport for those with special needs, in which, for example, the sports listed in Table A.1 can be played, and for multi-purpose sports halls and rooms. The standard also applies as appropriate to - covered outdoor sports areas, with or without covered sides, - unheated sports halls. It does not apply to the design of sports halls for specialized sports (e. g. ice sports, athletics, climbing, cycling, riding, tennis, martial arts).
