The standard defines the manner of representing the projections of undothed human bodies (with shoes) when seated, according to different classes of size, as two-dimensional body templates on the scale of 1:1. Body templates for seats in the lateral, top and front projections can be used primarily in the following three areas: a) as an aid to engineering drawing, b) as an aid to construction, and c) as a demonstration aid.
