Summary

This document specifies minimum information on technical drawings of worms and worm wheels among common specifications on material, heat treatment and hardness. If required, additional specifications, such as manufacturing process or special testing and acceptance procedures, can be added. For representation of gears in technical drawings see DIN ISO 2203. Symbols, terms and definitions are in accordance with DIN 3975-1, DIN 3998-4 and DIN 3999.
