DIN 56950-5:2017-06

This standard DIN 56950-5 shall apply to electrical chainhoistsystems used in staging and production facilities for events and theatrical productions. Such chainhoistsystems can be build out of chainhoists based on DIN EN 14492-2 'Cranes - Power driven winches and hoists - Part 2: Power driven hoists' and/or chainhoists which fullfill the safety requirements of DIN 56950-1 'Entertainment technology - Machinery installations - Part 1: Safety requirements and inspections'. This standard does not apply to loadbearing equipment or slings. This part 5 of DIN 56950 defines deviations to DIN 56950-1 according to the special use of mobile and temporary installed chainhoistsystems. The deviations shall not apply to other machinery and machinery installations.
