This standard contains drawings, dimensions and manufacturing details for inserts for ventilator flaps, which are preferably used in weathertightly lockable ventilator flaps according to DIN 83409. These inserts consist mainly of either a jalousie, or a framed wire gard of 8 mm mesh width, or of a combination of both jalousie and wire gard.
