Summary

This document specifies performance requirements and test methods for phase change-type (dot matrix) thermometers. It does not apply to clinical thermometers designed for special applications (e. g. thermometers for hypothermic) which owing to their measurement range, csale interval or maximum permissible error do not meet the requirements specified in this document.

Notes

DIN EN 12470-2 (2001-02) remains valid alongside this standard until 2010-03-21.
