DIN SPEC 16577:2017-08

Due to the ever-increasing chaos in package deliveries and the resulting increasing demands on delivery, different interested parties have gathered together in order to create a specification for so-called 'Parcel receptacles with free access for delivery and collection operators and consumers', also called parcel boxes. The DIN specification describes the delivery process and specifies requirements for such parcel boxes so that they can be used by all market participants, such as owners, manufacturers, transport service providers, etc. The requirements specified in this document include, inter alia, access requirements with regard to the opening and closing of the parcel box and requirements for the delivery and dispatch of goods of any kind.
