DIN SPEC 16577:2018-02

Due to the ever-increasing chaos in package deliveries and the resulting increasing demands on delivery, different interested parties have gathered together in order to create a specification for so-called 'exchange units'. The DIN specification describes the delivery process and specifies requirements for such exchange units so that they can be used by all market participants, such as owners, manufacturers, transport service providers, etc. The requirements specified in this document include, inter alia, access requirements with regard to the opening and closing of the exchange unit and requirements for the delivery and dispatch of goods of any kind.
